The active ingredient in PENZIM is Penzyme, meaning penetrating enzyme, which is a super-active trypsin proteinase from the North Atlantic cod. Therapeutic research and clinical trials in the hundreds have been conducted on the efficacy of trypsin by the medical community for more than eighty years now, using mainly the poorly active mammalian trypsins from cows or pigs. These have demonstrated the efficacy of trypsin for various medical indications and diseases.
Penzyme has shown promise in various dermatological situations (eczema, psoriasis etc.) as well as towards arthritis, inflammation, acne, wound healing and several other conditions. Penzyme has now been used in two clinical studies on humans, one on UV radiation burns and the other on wound-healing of pressure sores, both with positive results. Others are in the planning phase.

Otherwise Penzim should be used once or twice a day, or more often if needed. It is important to continue regular treatment and show patience and endurance.
Penzim is a mild and natural treatment that may need a while to deliver its beneficial results, in particular in the case of psoriasis.
